Alas, my 'alarm clock' woke up late this morning and I was in a real fluster the whole morning. Thankfully I had baked the cupcakes yesterday so that was taken care of. But this morning, oh my goodness, it was madness. Jumped out of bed when saw that it was 9.12am when I opened my eyes. I didn't expect princess to get up so late. She never does. So immediately put pasta to boil, did frosting for cupcakes, and then fried all the other ingredients for the macaroni and cheese dish which I was supposed to take to the party. We were supposed to be there for 10.30, but there was seriously no way we, or rather I, could do it. Finally when everything was ready, it was 11 and what had to happen next? I misplaced my camera which I had just used a few minutes before, and I was in a frenzy. Searched high and low and everywhere in the house over and over, and finally found it where??? In the store room where I had gone to get a box to hold the boxes of cupcakes. Sigh. Eventually we were on our way...
It was wonderful to catch up with friends again. However little Nao had been ill the past few days and poor girl could not go in the pool with the rest. She could only watch them from the side. The party was almost cancelled actually but we went ahead and luckily she was feeling well enough to join us this morning. We spent a great day together, catching up etc. Princess had such a great time she didn't want to come home. Sigh. I hated to break up the party (actually it was only 3 little girls left by this time), but I was really tired out and needed to rest. I'm sure, so did the other mummy who had planned everything.
This was the spread of food we had today...
A farewell gift for a dear friend...
