Roast Beef

Made a roast beef and roasted potatoes, accompanied by an avocado salad with the veg I had in fridge. Bought the purple cabbage some time back but didn't have a chance to use it. It has remained fresh though. Have been wanting to try making an avocado salad since seeing this n this lady(ies) make them. I totally love it. The sesame oil and seeds go so well together with the olive oil, lime, and some black pepper.

I heard avocados are very expensive in SG these days. My mum eats them everyday when she visits (couple of years ago). Your roast beef, potatoes and salad looks homely. I would love to come home to that!

That is a similar meal to what I prepared that evening too! Only I had an endive salad rather than avocado... looks yummy!

daphne - I don't know the prices as I don't usually buy them. they should cost $1-2 each I think. But there was one time I sent hubby to go buy it and he said was $6-8 for 2?? I said forget it! Oh thanks for finding them homely. :P It's the first time I've done it.

east meets west kitchen - Hehe, thanks. Yes, ever since I saw that I've been wanting to make it but just never got round to it. Was delicious.

little corner of mine - I don't know. You know, before you asked me that question, I did think it was maybe easier to cook Western, as Chinese food, unless it's stuff I come up with, I'm really bad at traditional stuff.

maya - Ah, you like Western food. :) Yes, yes, do the salad for your mum. It's lovely with the sesame oil and seeds.

big boys oven - Hehe, I bet you would.

bozo - I already did the tag before you tagged me. :P

cranberry - Hehe, sorry to always make you hungry haha. It's really easy to do.

jori - Really? Cool!
