Made chicken burgers for dinner last evening. For the patty, I used the following -
Minced chicken - approximately 500g
barbeque sauce
worcestershire sauce
bit of oyster sauce
dash of sesame oil
breadcrumbs - 2-3tbsps
1/2 an onion - diced
1/2 a carrot - shredded
Extra breadcrumbs for coating
Mix the above together and form into patties. Cover with breadcrumbs and fry. The above recipe yielded 5 big patties and 1 small.
Assembled the burger with cheese slice, lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, egg, and drizzled with mayonnaise.
Happy to say that it was very well-received, even by princess who isn't typically a burger gal. :) But of course hers was only a mini version without an egg. And since I had extra patties leftover, I made them for a friend who was coming by.

hehe. I love a home made burger. Somehow it tastes so much better! And i like that addition of an egg too.
daphne - Yup. At least you know what really goes into the patty huh? Feels healthier. :)
Your burger looks yummy. Please check out my blog, I have tagged you.
Aiyo....oozzzing egg! *I like*
Yr pix makes me wanna bite into it...*drroolzzzzz*
D, that burger looked really yummy, nothing like a good home-made burger ah?
A few days back, my cousin was telling me abt E burger tht she ate at Swensens. She said it was BIG and top with a sunny side up egg. It had me drooling for a moment :P I told myself tht I was gonna make a few soon! Upon seeing ur burger, it makes me more enthusiastic. My late aunt makes good patties. She used to add crush creamcrackers to bind 'em :)
ling's passion - Thanks. Ok, will check it out.
paw paw - Hehe, I think most people love oozing egg yolks. ;) And take a big bite, or as my girl will say, 'a humungous' bite! :P
beau lotus - Gee thanks. Hehe. Yes, I totally agree. :)
maya - Oops, beat you to it. ;) Yes, you should make it. I didn't wanna buy cream crackers to do them so I got ready breadcrumbs. I usually get them from Four Leaves but they sold out yesterday so I got from Swissbake. They are lovely too. Do them soon, ya? :P
I love your homemade burger especially with the egg oozzing out of it. Simply to die for :)
This burger makes me drool now. Looks good woh! But I'm lazy to cook now, can I order some? :-D_

Hi Deb, this burger looks delicious, eventhough I'm not a burger gal too!
Hope that you, Princess and the hubs have been keeping well. xo
